Beverly Stokes, BMC, CMA, MPA

Beverly is acknowledged as a leader in the field of infant
movement development, expressive communication, and self-motivated
learning with over twenty years of professional experience
in private practice and group settings working with babies,
children, and adults.
As a faculty member of the Ontario College of Naturopathic
Medicine, Beverly originated the Body Movement Curriculum
based on developmental principles and experiential anatomy
of the body systems within the Psychological Dimensions
of Healing Program.
For twelve years, Beverly co-led workshops for adults
with Marion Woodman, Jungian Analyst and noted international
author, exploring the body systems and origins of human
movement, and discovering the interplay between perception,
consciousness, and movement.
Beverly has trained and studied widely with innovators
in the somatic field of Movement Re-education, Touch, Breathing,
Sound and Voice. Specifically: The Body Systems and Developmental
Movement with Bonnie-Bainbridge Cohen, and the principles
of Breathing Coordination with Carl Stough. Beverly has
been influenced by the manual skills involved in craniosacral
therapy and visceral manipulation that also inform her hands-on
work.
